She graduated from the Language School in Haskovo with Major in German, and second Major in English. She then entered university. In 1995 the first private puppet theatre “Danny & Dessi” was founded in Haskovo, Bulgaria and Nina started working there as Stage Designer.

Then the next show, in which Nina Koleva was Illustrator and Assistant Stage Designer was “A Short Quack Story” and it was broadcast again on BNT (Bulgarian National TV) in 1999 and “Miracles Happen”, in 1998. “A Short Quack Story” was presented at many International Festivals in Silistra, Yambol, Sofia; International Street Festival in Teramo, Italy; International Puppet Festival in Hungary (the festival was a part of UNIMA – the International Puppet Organization Festivals); “Apolonia” in Sozopol, Bulgaria; International Puppet Festival in Turkey and many others. The show “Miracles Happen” had its premiere on the 27th of May 1998 at the Festival “Burborak” in Smolyan, Bulgaria and then was represented in the Art Festival “Apolonia” in Sozopol, Bulgaria. The next show of Theatre “Danny & Dessi”, with Stage Designer Nina Koleva was “The Three Snowmen”.

Since 1997 Nina moved to the island of Samos, in Greece which had proved to be truly inspirational for her. On the 16th of January 2002 she opened her own business “Art Café” (Beach Music Bar). Luxury Beach Music Bar which was literally placed on the central beach of Kokkari. The interior of this fashion-designed place was fully designed and made by Nina. Since the 2nd of March 2008 she expanded her business to “Art Café - Internet Café - Art Gallery” where all her artworks were exhibited. Her personal exhibition was themed “If you have a talent for life…Be There…”.

Since 1997, when Nina moved to Greece, she also actively worked on Interior and Logo Design Projects, Illustration and Glass Panels Decorations. Her work even expanded in the advertising industry for hotels, spa-centers, restaurants and café-bars. The “Kalidon” and “Kalidon Palace (Panorama)” Hotel, and the “Massage and Aesthetic Centre” are two of the most prestigious ones.

Her second exhibition was in the Netherlands (December 21, 2008 to January 25, 2009) in Harderwijk, in Gallery “Meneer de Vries” with theme “Life is love and love is magic…”

On the 8th of March 2009, she returned for a second exhibition in “Art-Café – Art Gallery” with theme “If your goal is the sky, reach for the stars…”.

Additionally, Nina attended the “SWAN Day / Support Woman Artists Now Day”, an international event that celebrates Women Artists. It is an annual event taking place on the last Saturday of March (Women’s History Month) and the surrounding weeks.
